Bettie Barron Charnock, 94, passed away on October 11, 2026. Born March 20, 1932, Bettie will be remembered with deep respect and enduring gratitude for a life defined by steadfast devotion and quiet strength.
Bettie joins in everlasting life her husband, Raymond Charnock, her devoted partner for over 70 years, her son Raymond Charnock Jr., and her brother, Bill Carpenter.
She is survived by her brother Mack Carpenter; her children, Donna Thuman (Tom) and Gary Charnock (Sheri); her grandchildren, Travis Hackley, Paul Thuman, Raymond Charnock, and Ryan Charnock; her great-grandchildren, Avaris Hackley, Evvy Hackley, Jackson Charnock, Kaylee Thuman and Sammie Goddard.
More than anything, Bettie cherished time with family—especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as “Mom Mom.” Her care was steady and her presence reassuring, felt most clearly in the simple, meaningful moments she made room for: gathering loved ones close, sharing time together, and keeping family at the center of her days.
Bettie also found joy in preserving those moments, taking photos that reflected her attentive eye and the value she placed on togetherness. She loved family camping and road trips, and she especially enjoyed traveling to see the mountains—journeys that brought both beauty and belonging, and that will remain part of the family’s shared remembrance.
