

Paul Michael Bowen, a father, grandfather, brother, friend, boating and car enthusiast died on June 8, 2026 at the age of 77 in Baltimore, Maryland surrounded by his three children and loving family after living with Parkinson’s disease.
Born on July 17, 1948, in Toledo, Ohio, he was the third of 14 children to Claude and Rita Bowen. He was the eldest son. After leaving Toledo, the family lived in Huntington, West Virginia before settling in Baltimore. Paul called Maryland home for the rest of his life after serving in Okinawa during the Vietnam war.
Paul had an innate ability to fix anything, a natural talent for playing music and a deep love of the water and boating. Above all else, Paul was a patient and devoted father, unwavering in his support of his three children and a constant and steady presence in their lives. He was a loving grandfather who delighted in his five grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Theresa Bowen Hatch, her husband, Steve Hatch, and their children, Quinn and Jackson Hatch; his daughter, Brittany Bowen, her partner, Kevin Barrett, and their children, Aria, Brielle and Charlotte Barrett; and his son, Sam Bowen, and his fiancée, Geneva Pohl. He is remembered by all that knew him as a kind and loving family member and friend.

Viewings will be held at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc, 1630 Edmondson Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228, on Saturday, June 13, 2026 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Services will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2026 at 10 a.m. at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., followed by a burial.
