Born September 7, 1941, in Baltimore, MD, Mr. Hood was the son of the late Preston Nelson Hood, Sr. and Irene (Carroll) Hood. He was also preceded in death by his siblings: Mary, Bonnie, Nancy, Bobby, and Betty.
Preston was a long-haul truck driver for many years. He resided in Lonaconing with his daughter where he truly loved the mountains, fishing, hunting, and the peacefulness. Preston was a true family man and loved spending time with them.
Preston is survived by his daughter: Amanda Faith and husband Tim; his sons: Joe Hood and wife Linda; Troy Hood and wife Margie; and Preston Hood and wife Char; his sister: Cathy; as well as his grandchildren: Preston, Tyler, Cierra, Elizabeth, Brianna, Tanner, Kylie, Gunner, Gauge, Briyer, Brayden, and Decklyn; and his great-grandchildren: Waylon, Trent, and Rylee.
Family will receive friends from 3-5 & 7-9PM, Friday, March 20 at Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witzke Funeral Home of Catonsville, Inc., 1630 Edmondson Avenue, Catonsville, MD 21228. A memorial service will take place at 8PM at the funeral home.
