

Betty I. Johnson, a longtime Washington resident, passed away peacefully on November 7, 2025, at the age of 95. She passed at Potter’s Country Home, surrounded by loved ones. Born on May 25, 1930, in Paignton, Torquay, England, Betty carried with her throughout life the warmth, wit, and quiet strength of her English roots.
For the past 30 years, Betty made her home in Onalaska, Washington, where she built a life filled with simple joys and meaningful connections. She had a deep love for her cats, who were her constant and cherished companions. She enjoyed quiet mornings spent fishing, afternoons working through her favorite puzzles, and time shared with the many friends whose lives she touched with kindness and humor.
Betty is survived by her daughter, Judy Berrey of Ogden, Utah; her sister, Joyce Dettling, friends Leslie and Chris Hinderman, and their daughter Lily; and numerous other relatives who will fondly remember her gentle spirit and generous heart.
In accordance with Betty’s wishes, no services will be held.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
