

She was born on March 4th 1930 in Cosmopolis,Wa, to Noble Willard and Lena Louella Estep Carlson, and grew up in Tacoma, Wa.
Betty met Alfred Prestegord during WWII. They married and moved to Twin Valley, Minnesota. They enjoyed family get togethers, horses and farming/ ranching. They were blessed with four children. They lived in Minnesota until 1964 and moved to Washington State, but later divorced, with Betty staying in Washington and Alfred returning to Minnesota.
In 1981, Betty met Patrick Williams, who she married on August 1st of the same year. They loved their children and grandchildren. They shared a love of traveling and art. In fact, Betty and Pat both loved to paint. We have pictures of over 400 of Mom’s paintings.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents Noble and Lena; brothers Willard Carlson, Alvin Carlson, and Stan Westrom; an infant son, Glen; granddaughters Kristen Marie (daughter of Don & Arlene Roberts,) Angela Marie (daughter of Barb,) Marah Williams (daughter of Michael Williams and Penny LeGate,) and great grandson Trent (son of Melanie Roberts.)
She is survived by daughter, Barbara (Lee) Grimes of Centralia, Wa.; daughter, Arlene (Don) Roberts of Chehalis, Wa.;son Wayne (Eileen) Prestegord of Onalaska, Wa; many much loved grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great, great grandson; brothers Howard Carlson of Renton, Wa., Raymond (Ruth) Carlson of Manchester, Missouri; sisters Mary (Gene) Orcutt of Sequim, Wa, Bonnie Jean (Alex) Munce of Puyallup, Wa, Sylvia (Tim) La Baron of Florida; sisters in law Ruthie Carlson of Tacoma, Wa and Susan Westrom of Santa Ana, Ca; and numerous nieces and nephews.
