Charles Elbert Jennings, 78, of Napavine, Wash., passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020, at Morton Hospital, following a brief illness. Charles was born on September 30, 1941, in Glenoma, Wash., to Arthur E. and Agnes L. (Tiller) Jennings. He graduated from Morton High School in 1960.
He married Marjorie Lea Murray in Bremerton, Wash., on April 1, 1961. Charles was a friend to all, and enjoyed spending time with friends and family. He loved the outdoors, and spent many hours fishing and hunting. He also enjoyed watching sports- especially football.
Charles was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie; wife, Willene Hanley; wife, Pearl A. Tow; his parents, Arthur and Agnes; brothers, Jerry and Hank Jennings; and sisters, Dottie Mae Jennings and Mary Lou Gage.
Charles is lovingly remembered by his son, Charles E. (Kari) Jennings, Jr.; and daughter Lynn Elma (Doyle) Jennings Dilley; step sons, Joel Patterson and Robert Hanley; grandchildren, Marleah Falconer, Keegan Dilley, Kyle Jennings, Heather Jennings, and Holly Jennings; great grandchildren, Richard Dean and Eva Dean; siblings, Betty (Ben) Jennings Hutchison, of Morton, Wash., Linda K. (Ray) Jennings Ross, of Surprise, Ariz., and Arthur E. (Susan) Jennings; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will begin at 12 PM on Monday, February 24, at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, 1437 S Gold Street, Centralia. A reception will follow the service in the Chapel’s Hospitality Room. Interment will take place at 2 PM, at Claquato Cemetery in Chehalis.
