Donald Phillip Anderson, 89, of Centralia went to be with his Lord on January 8, 2012. He was born March 12, 1922 in Minneapolis, Minn. He married Betty Lou Wilson on Sept. 26, 1947. He is survived by his wife of 64 years. Don was a Naval Veteran of World War II. Don was a born again Christian and was a member of the Centralia First Christian Church for many years. He was a member of several pigeon clubs as he enjoyed raising and showing pigeons for more than 80 years. He gave his time freely and was immediately friends with whomever he met.
Besides his lovely wife Betty, Don is survived by his daughter Nancy (Joe) Johnson of Wasilla, Alaska, Craig (Lisa) Anderson of Gresham, Ore., and Michael (Denise) Anderson of Centralia, 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Jan. 17 at 1 p.m. at the Centralia First Christian Church. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made in Don’s name to the Providence Saint Peter Foundation, Fund #301, 413 Lilly Rd NE, Olympia, WA 98506, Attn: Sandy Adams to assist the Chehalis Kidney Center.
