at 101 years old. Born on August 14, 1924 in Naselle, WA, she mostly grew up in Randle,
WA. When 16, her mother informed her she would be moving to Puyallup, WA, to live with
her Aunt and provide household help for her Aunt’s family. Ellen graduated from Puyallup

until Tuff retired in 1981 after which they built a new home on part of the acreage and sold
the rest of the farm. After Tuff’s death in 2000, Ellen had a small home built in downtown
Morton where she lived until her death.
