My name is MaeBeth (Becker) Slead. I wrote to Steve when I was in high school and he was stationed near Chu Lai, South Vietnam during the Vietnam war. After the war was over I heard from him on my 17th birthday, but never again, but I never forgot him. Then in Nov of this year I did a search for him. I only heard from him the one time; I think it was his grandson's wife who wrote the letter. My husband and I send our condolences for your loss.
