Jo Ann Dunn

She married Melvin Dunn on November 14, 1949 . They spent 58 wonderful years together building their home, traveling, flying around the US in their airplane, boating, hunting, fishing, and dancing. Jo retired from the U.S. Forest Service in 1989 at the age of 55 after 30 years of service. In 1994 they purchased a lot in Yuma, Arizona, where they later built a cabin and spent their winters.

Throughout her life, Jo was an accomplished seamstress, knitter, and crocheter who created many beautiful tablecloths, clothes, and even knitted a dress, red of course. She loved playing cards with her Randle-based pinochle group, playing the piano by ear, and for the past 20 years singing along as she played her organ.

For the past several years, Jo shared her life and home with her companion, Marinus VanGinneken. Together, they enjoyed dancing and playing marble and card games with friends in both Centralia and Yuma.

Jo Ann is survived by her daughters, Leslie Pace {Jim} of Enterprise, Oregon, and Jenny Storm (Bill)of Morton, Washington, as well as six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

She was deeply loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
