

Joyce (Morton) Ennis, 85, a longtime resident of the Centralia area, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, January 20, 2015. Joyce was born to Bill and Helen Fletcher in Hoquiam, Washington, where she also attended Hoquiam High School. After moving to Doty in 1966, she began working at Mike’s Café in Pe Ell, where she was known for her famous homemade pies. Later, Joyce worked for the Lewis County Courthouse and retired after 15 years of service.
Early in life Joyce married Ray Dalrymple, together they were blessed with three children, William, Brenda, and Robert. Later, Joyce married Jack Morton. Jack had two daughters, Judy and Angela, together Joyce and Jack were blessed with two more daughters, LouRinda and Julie. Jack and Joyce were married for 32 years until his passing in 1993. Joyce was then married to Sam Ennis for 11 years until his passing in 2008.
Joyce is survived by her children, Brenda Turner, Robert Dalrymple, LouRinda Buttrey, and Julie Anderson, step-daughters, Judy Pruitt and Angela Sloan, 11 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, and her brother, Allen Fletcher. She was preceded in death by her son, William Dalrymple.
In her spare time, Joyce enjoyed traveling, crocheting, bingo, and family shopping trips. Joyce and Jack’s service to The Lord included serving as elders at the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church for many years. Her most treasured moments were those she spent with her family. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
