Leonard L. “Leo” Rynevich Dipola, 70, of Olympia, Washington, passed away on Saturday, August 8, 2015, at Providence St. Peter Hospital. He was born in Tacoma, Washington on January 22, 1945. Leo attended and graduated from RA Long High School in Longview, Washington. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1968 in Vietnam.
Leo married his wife, Dana Dipola, on May 6, 1992. Leo pursued two careers in his life; he was a painter for the State of Washington and he owned and operated Dipola’s Fireside Inn, a restaurant and lounge, for several years. Leo was a member of the Sons of Italy, Corvettes de Olympia, and the American Legion. He had a passion for cars, cooking delicious food, spending time with family and friends, and going on cruises.
The final resting place for Leo is Mountain View Cemetery in Centralia, Washington. A celebration of his life will be held at 1:00pm, Saturday, August 29, 2015, at Pellegrino’s Event Center in Tumwater, Washington. Arrangements are under the direction of Sticklin Funeral Chapel in Centralia.
