Linda Kay Jennings Ross
Linda was born on September 15, 1946, the 7th of 8 children, to parents Arthur E. Jennings, Sr. and Agnes Tiller Jennings, in Tacoma, Washington. She passed away on April 28, 2021 in Surprise, AZ, surrounded by her children.
Linda attended school in Hoquiam, Morton and Onalaska, WA. She graduated from Centralia High School in 1964 and then attended Centralia College. She married James M. Cournyer in July 1966 in Centralia, WA. They were blessed with two sons, James Marion Cournyer, Jr. and George Maxim Cournyer. In July 1980, Linda married Darrell Heath in Edmonds, WA and they were blessed with two children, Ryan Darrell Heath and Kaylin Marie Heath. In 2011, Linda married Raymond Ross in Morton, WA and they lived in Surprise, AZ.
As we celebrate Linda’s life, we remember her love of life and love of her family. She fought a gallant battle against cancer for many years always with her chin up and a positive attitude. She loved to celebrate Easter and Christmas and everyone around her would receive an Easter basket and a Christmas stocking stuffed full. Linda had a mischievous side that was contagious and a saucy side that was just hilarious. She loved gardening with the kids, gambling, and breakfast out with anyone who wanted to join her. The more the merrier.
Linda is survived by her husband Raymond Ross, son James (Megan) Cournyer of California, son George Cournyer, son Ryan (Breeze) Heath, and daughter Kaylin (Jason) Williams, all of Surprise, Arizona; her beloved grandchildren, Elliott Cournyer, Chloe and George Cournyer, Edie and Ethan Heath, Ayla, Aisley, and Autumn Williams, stepdaughters Kimberly Heath and Brandy Ross and her sister Betty (Ben) Hutchison of Morton, WA and brother Arthur (Susan) Jennings of Meridian, Idaho. She loved and was loved by many Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, and Friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Agnes Jennings, sister Dottie Mae, sister Mary Lou Gage, brother Jerry E. Jennings, brother Larry (Hank) Jennings and brother Charles E. Jennings.
Linda’s services will be held at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, 1437 S. Gold Street, Centralia, WA, Friday, May 21 at Noon, followed by a reception at the same location. Graveside services will be at Claquato Cemetery, Chehalis, WA.
