Louise, AKA Uncle Wee Gee, was born in Chehalis, on August 7, 1934, to Joseph J. and Francis (Tausher) Kostick. She graduated from WF West in 1952. In 1954, she received an AA from Centralia Jr. College. She then went on to attend Central Washington College, where she received her Bachelor’s degree in education, in 1958.
Louise worked her entire teaching career, of 35 years, at Onalaska High School, where she taught computer science, math, and English. Louise cared deeply about her students and kept in touch with many of them through the years.
Louise enjoyed traveling to Reno, when she could. She was an avid Mariners fan, going to spring training, and was a season ticket holder for several years. She was also active for many years in the SW Washington Fair Association.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John Kostick; sisters, Pauline Burrows, and Katherine Estep.
Louise is survived by her brother, Joe (Gail) Kostick; sister-in-law, Mary Ann Kostick; special niece, Sherri Estep; and many other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is scheduled to begin at 1pm, Friday, January 5, 2018, at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, in Centralia. A reception will immediately follow.
