

Michael Timothy Fields, 57, of Chehalis, Wash., was taken from us Tuesday, April 25, 2017, in Centralia, Wash., after a tragic accident. He was born to Ronald and Evelyn Fields March 19, 1960, in Olympia, Wash.
He attended Tenino High School in Tenino, Wash. Michael earned his ATA in diesel equipment technology at Centralia College and was employed with the City of Tacoma as a maintenance machinist.
Michael enjoyed riding motorcycles, boating, crabbing, clam digging and paragliding. He also loved taking day trips, drinking craft beers, collecting t-shirts and helping his family.
He was generous with others as well, Michael was a volunteer with Search and Rescue and participated in annual toy runs and ‘Stuff The Bus’ events to help area families in need.
Michael was preceded in death by his father, Ronald Fields; and grandmother, Sarah Wood.
He is survived by his loving companion, Tami Hodgins; children, Johanna Hodgins and Anthony Bernstein; grandson, Oliver; mother, Evelyn Fields; twin brother, Myron Fields; brother, Darrell (Lisa) Fields; sisters, Darlene (Steve) Garlick and Rhonda (Bob) Yandle; “mother-in-law”, Sonja Schwartz; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, May 6, 2017, at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, 1437 S. Gold St., Centralia, Wash., with a reception to follow in the Chapel’s Hospitality Room. Inurnment will be private.
