Norma Lee Smith

Norma Lee (Smith) Grabler Smith, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at home in Chehalis, WA. Norma was born to Norman Harry Ely and Priscilla Abigail (Ely) Stone on Wednesday, March 31, 1937 in St. Louis MO. After graduating Blair High School in St Louis, MO in 1952, Norma went on to receive her degree as a registered nurse. Norma married Jack C. Smith on November 2, 1980. Norma had so much love for her children, grandchildren and family. She adored her memories of her cats, dogs and goats. Norma enjoyed singing, gardening, cooking, knitting, and spending time with family and friends. She was involved in her church and church activities, the emblem club which were both very important to her.

Norma is preceded in death by her husband Jack C. Smith, her former husband Jack W. Grabler; Brothers Donald Ely, Richard Ely and Mother Priscilla Stone.

Norma is survived by her children Linda Grabler, Jackie Beerman, Toni Jaffe, Larry Grabler, Sue Grabler, Gary Smith, Dorian Smith and Michael Smith; Niece, Gail Corey; 6 grandchildren, Aron Grabler, Kimberly Kevwitch and Nicole Lutomski, Kachina White, Hunter Jaffe, Chya Smith; 1 great grandchild, Kennedy Lutomski; son in law, Vera Ely and other family members of the Ely, Hediger and Wade families.

A Celebration of Life Memorial will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January, 4 2014 with a reception to follow at the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Chehalis. Memorials may be donations to the Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Lewis County Animal Shelter.
