

Richard Grant Meyers, the son of Norma Hudson and the stepson of Earl Meyers, was born on August 3, 1932, in Hamburg, Iowa. He passed away peacefully at the age of 94 on August 13, 2026, in Beaverton, Oregon.
Richard met the love of his life, Doris Middleton, as teenagers and they later married in 1952 at the Vancouver, WA courthouse while on leave from the Air Force. They began their life together in Honolulu, HI, where Richard was stationed and had their first child in 1954. After discharging from the Air Force, he began his 36 year career at Boeing. Richard and Doris had 5 more children and raised a happy and close-knit family of 8 in Puyallup, Washington.
He was an avid sports fan who especially loved his Washington teams. When Richard wasn’t spending time working in his massive garden, he enjoyed road trips across the U.S and loved spending time with his family. He never met a card game he didn’t like or couldn’t win.
Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Doris, his second wife of 2 years, Joann, and his 3rd wife of 19 years Connie. He was also preceded in death by Larry Criswell, his son-in-law of 44 years. He is survived by his children, Mike Meyers (Terry), Cindy Criswell, Randy Meyers (Sheri), Pam Engel (John), Nancy Wisot (Jeff), Stephanie Meyers, 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
