Roger was born on June 22, 1941, in Sioux City, Iowa, to Clayton and Wilma (Krause) Fletcher. With ties to the Rochester community since 1959, he was well known for his Dairy of Merit, Ro-Doll Dairy on James Road, as well as for his singing ability. He was often referred to as the ‘Singing Dairyman,’ who sounded like Elvis, and resembled Kenny Rogers.
After retiring, he founded Good Time Karaoke and Entertainment with Roger, where he played in Thurston and Lewis Counties. He especially enjoyed playing Texas Hold ‘Em and pinochle with his family, and taking mini road trips with his wife.
Roger is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, DoeDee Fletcher; four children, Daniel (Dawn) Fletcher, David (Nancy) Fletcher, Donald Fletcher and Pamela Fletcher; eight grandchildren; five great grand-children; and his two sisters, Jeannine Luhr of Yakima, Wash., and Jackie (Dean) Guynn of Sioux City, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Roger’s Life will be held at 3 p.m., Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Swede Hall, 18543 Albany Street, Rochester, WA 98579.
