Rosemary was born to the late Emanuel and Ottilia (Ressler) Volk in Selfridge, ND on Dec. 1, 1929. She graduated from Selfridge High School. Rosemary was married to Frank Bonagofsky on Sept. 19, 1949. She lived most of her life in Tenino.
Her happiest times were when she was surrounded by her family. She was a very kind person, who had a loving and generous heart. She was always giving to others. She loved to attend her grandchildren’s activities and cook huge meals for family gatherings.
Rosemary is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; daughter, Susan; her parents; and sisters, Barbara Elliott, Clara Wesen, and Ella Mae Housden.
Rosemary is survived by her sons, William, of Oklahoma City, OK, Jerrold (Kris) of Graham, WA, Robert (Lisa) of Indio, CA, and Daniel (Kristie) of Chehalis, WA; daughter Karen (Greg) Chamberlain of Tenino; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Leo, Jim, and Jerry Volk; and many other family members and friends.
Visitation may be made on Wednesday, September 12, between the hours of 5PM and 6:30 PM at Sticklin Funeral Chapel, 1437 S Gold Street, Centralia. The Rosary will be recited at the chapel at 7 PM that evening.
The Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, September 13, at 11 AM, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Tenino, with Fr. Joseph Ekong presiding. Interment will follow at Forest Grove Cemetery in Tenino. A Celebration of Rosemary’s Life and Reception will follow the interment in St. Peter’s Church Hall.
