

Ruby, with her family moved to the Onalaska area, at the age of six. She attended school at Onalaska.
On Feb. 21, 1935, Ruby married the love of her life, Verne L. Dickey and moved to Pigeon Springs, Onalaska, where she lived out her life. Ruby loved to dance, fish, garden and spend time with her family. Ruby was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Verne, her father and mother, three sisters and two brothers, a grandson and a great-grandson.
Ruby is survived by her daughters, Penny Frase of Onalaska, Myrna Neeley of Chehalis, LaVerna Deaton, son-in-law, James Deaton of Maple Valley, and Virginia Hessler of Surprise, Ariz. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren.
Memorial services for Ruby will be held at the Onalaska Presbyterian Church on May 4, 2012 at 11:30 a.m., with a potluck luncheon to follow. Catherine Hessler will be singing. Pastor Denny Taylor, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Sticklin Funeral Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Onalaska Fire Department in Ruby's honor.
