Salvador A Trejo

Salvador “Sal” Trejo, of Chehalis, passed away in an Olympia Hospital after a long illness on March 13, 2014. He was born in Mexico City, Mexico, coming to the United States when he was 17 years old. His parents were Antonio and Victoria Trejo.

Sal worked in Construction in Arizona, working on dams and power plants. He came to Washington in the early 60’s, working on the Mossyrock Dam and numerous construction jobs. He was in the Carpenters and Joiners of America Union for 50 years.

Sal enjoyed the Seahawks and the Mariners; working in the yard; and was known throughout the neighborhood as the “fix it man”. He was constantly upgrading their home and yard and could make anything. He loved watching the birds in the yard and especially loved his cat “Simba”. No one left the house without a care package.

He leaves his wife Diana; children- Marco Trejo of Olympia, Rebecca Trejo-Dunham of Gilbert, AZ; Eva Cortina, Sal Trejo Jr., Sofia Olvera & Veronica Trejo, all of AZ; and April & Derek Rankin; numerous grandchildren, nieces & nephews. He also leaves his siblings; Maria Trejo-Alegria of San Antonio, Texas, Jose Trejo-Alegria of La Jolla, California, Alfonso Trejo-Alegria, Alma Trejo-Alegria, Ampiro Trejo-Alegria, Mateo Marquez-Alegria, Javier Marquez-Alegria, Luis Marquez-Alegria all of Mexico; and Rosa Gesinski of Tulsa, OK.
