

Kathie had a passion for traveling, cycling, bowling, water and snow skiing until health problems prevented her from enjoying these activities any longer. She cycled many countries in Europe and several of the Western United States. She was a devout Catholic and served in many areas of her church.
Kathie was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Scottie Belle Denton; husband, Ray L. Miskimens of 58 years of marriage; sisters, Dean, Gloria and June; and brothers, Parry and W.L.
She is survived by her daughter, Penni Edwards; sons, Scott (Roberta) and Todd Miskimens; grandchildren, Misty Elston, Rachel (Alan) Kuppler, Heidi (Adrian) Otteson, Jacob Miskimens, Beau Edeburn and Tyler Rosenkranz; five great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews.
Special thanks to Logan Street Manor III staff for the wonderful care they gave to her, as well as to the staff of Starbucks in Chehalis and Centralia as she loved her special venti Café Mocha blend.
Kathie grew up in Farmersville, Texas and moved to California in her 20s where she met Ray and they married Sept. 15, 1951. They later moved to Washington when Ray was discharged from the Marines. She and Ray owned and operated Ray’s Glass for over 55 years. Kathie attended Centralia Community College in the early 70s where she received an Associate in Arts degree.
A rosary service will be held on Jan. 22, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 7:00 p.m. A celebration mass of her life will be held on Jan. 23, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 157 S.W. 6th Street, Chehalis, WA 98532. A reception to follow immediately at the church hall.
