Anna, 51, of Concord, formerly of Charlotte, died Thursday, September 23, 2010 at her residence.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held 3:00 P.M. Sunday, September 26, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Born October 7, 1958 in Greensboro, NC, Anna was a daughter of the late Caroline Rosalie Eskins Edwards and James Hampton Edwards. She worked in the IT support department with the City of Charlotte.
Anna is survived by her husband, Bill Shepard; two daughters, Caroline Alyssa Shepard and Emily Michelle Shepard; a step-daughter, Amber Shepard Hayes of Charlotte; and three siblings, James Hampton Edward, and wife, Lynde, of Satellite, FL, Mary Ellen Edwards of Charlotte and Thad Allen Edwards and wife, Judy, of Antioch, TX.
Anna Shepard, like a hummingbird, she graced us with her beauty before leaving for a better place.
