

Ariana attended Kecoughtan High School in Hampton, Virginia; where she met her sweetheart, Yates Adams. They married on January 23, 1999.
Ariana received her degree from James Madison University, graduating Magna Cum Laude. She had several careers in her lifetime; a CPA, HR representative and a headhunter. She was an accomplished writer and a published author. "Chicken Soup for the Bride's Soul" is one of her most popular publishing's. She spent 14 years involved with dance (ballet and jazz). Ariana was an avid animal lover, owning several pets throughout her life and was affiliated with multiple animal organizations.
She is survived by her loving husband, Yates Adams, her mother, Heide Watterlohn, numerous in laws in Charlotte and cousins in Virginia. She was predeceased by her father, Dieter Watterlohn.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Ariana's life will be held on Wednesday, May 4, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service Mint Hill Chapel. 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Road Mint Hill, NC 28227.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home in Hampton, Virginia on Friday, May 6, 2022.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to any of the following charities. World Wildlife Fund, National MS Society, Global Sanctuary for Elephants, Save the Chimps, The Gentle Barn and the National Audubon Society.
