Bessie W. Braswell, age 77, passed away on August 19, 2020. She was born in Emmanuel City, Georgia on October 19, 1942. While working in Homestead, Florida in 1964, she met her beloved husband Jack. They married on July 28th, 1969. Bessie and Jack enjoyed a long life together. In her free time, she enjoyed making all sorts of plastic crafts that she loved gifting to people.
Bessie was predeceased by her parents and her sons, Terry Blitchington and Ricky Braswell.
She is survived be her loving husband, Jack, their 4 children; Theresa Coker, Maggie Freeman (Ricky), Tim Braswell (Barbara) and Robin Sullivan (James), along with 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, sisters; Betty Carpenter and Juanita Willis and brother, Sonny Willis.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 from 12:00 to 1:00pm at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm with burial to follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Mint Hill.
