Betty was a woman of dignity and grace. She possessed the courage and determination that would carry her through many dark stages of her life. Betty knew how to meet conflict with a peaceful loving response. In many ways she taught us how to accept things the way they were, trusting that in the end all will be well. She loved music and teaching piano.
She was fearless in defense of her family and extended family.
She knew her priorities; God, family and others. She was deeply loved by all who knew her and will be sorely missed. On her face you could feel the love of Christ through her eyes.
She is survived by her daughter, Bobbie Ann Short; step-daughter, Lisa Carr; brother, David Sloan; nieces, Jody Pressley, Kim Sloan, Lori Wallace; nephews, Scott Sloan, Melvin Sloan, Randy Beaty, Stephen Beaty; and beloved brother-in-law, Gleen Beaty.
