Betty Gordon Pinion

She was born on October 27, 1930, to the late Joe and Maddie Gordon.

Betty was a kind-hearted woman who was always known for having an infectious smile. She had many enjoyments in her life including shopping and trying different restaurants. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

Along with her parents, Betty is preceded in death by her husband, Carl Pinion; and daughter, Joyce Gibbs. She is survived by her daughter, Becky Pinion; grandchildren, Michael Grier and Cody Smith; and brother, Frank Gordon.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 29, 2026, from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, located at 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd., Mint Hill, North Carolina. A funeral service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held following the visitation at 2:00 pm with Rev. Suzanne Dornsmith officiating. Burial will then follow the service at Sharon Memorial Park in Charlotte, North Carolina.
