Born December 18, 1931 in Mecklenburg County, NC, Billy was the son of the late William McGee Ferguson and Annie Helms Ferguson. He was a graduate of Tech High School, class of 1950. Billy retired from Mecklenburg County Health Department Environmental Service and was a member of First Baptist Church of Charlotte.
He is survived by his wife, Donna.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill, with a funeral service immediately following at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Mt. Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Matthews.
