Carl was born July 27, 1938 in Charlotte, son of the late James B. Jamison and Ella Louise Yost Jamison. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Carl began golfing at the age of seven and his love and passion for golf continued throughout his life and as a Professional Golfer for over 42 years, retiring from the Fort Mill Golf Course in 2003. Still a current member of the PGA, he was honored by the club with the creation of the Jamison Cup at the Fort Mill Course. He was a lifelong member of the Robinson Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marcia Jamison; children, Mitch Jamison and his wife, Mica, and Melanie Holbrooks and her fiancé, Scott; three sisters, Nancy Nance, Libby Wilson, and Janice Edwards; three brothers, Buddy Jamison, Ben Jamison, and Phil Jamison; three grandchildren, Timmy Adams, Candace Adams, Harlie Lambert; three great-grandchildren, Delilah , Rylee, and Brayden; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday evening to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2013 in the chapel of McEwen Funeral Service – Mint Hill Chapel. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
