Christopher was born May 6, 1966, in Greenville, OH, to Dolores Jean Betzold of Waukee, IA, and the late William Edward Betzold. He enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, the piano, guitar, and most of all singing.
In addition to his father, Christopher was preceded in death by his brother, Robert (Bob) Betzold.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 32 years, Billie Jean Betzold; his two children, Somer Childers (Wesley) of Mint Hill, NC, and Christian Betzold (Ky) of Huntersville, NC; siblings, Kathy Fortune (Russell) of Grimes, IA, Edie Davis (Jim) of Urbandale, IA, Susan Wright (Gregory) of Indianola, IA, and Ginger Gale (Randall) of Urbandale, IA, Irene Betzold of Osceola, IA, Patrick Betzold (Deborah) of Bull Shoall, AR, Edward Betzold of Waukee, IA, Barry Betzold (Julie) of Phoenix, AZ, and Bill Betzold of Indianola, IA; grandchildren, Colton, Bryson, and Annalyn Childers of Mint Hill, NC; Sister-In-Law, Lisa O’Donnell of Hanson, MA; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 11:00AM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Road Mint Hill, NC 28227.
