A graduate of Appalachian State University, Cliff was a shop teacher for 30 years with the Charlotte Mecklenburg School System. He taught at Eastway Middle School, the same junior high he attended. He was a faithful member of Eastern Hills Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. Cliff was a veteran of the Army and Army National Guard. Also a Mason, he was a member of East Gate Lodge 692 since 1976.
Though he was a master craftsman and a prolific story teller, his life was most defined by his faith and family.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Jenny Crocker; daughters, Emily Crocker-Underwood (Paul) and Catherine Daniels (Matt); sister, Judy Booth (Harry); and many nieces and nephews whom he loved.
