Born November 8, 2001, David lived in Matthews, North Carolina. David graduated from Porter Ridge High School in 2020.
David was exceptionally intelligent, kind hearted and tenacious. He loved reading and discussing history and philosophy, and enjoyed writing short papers on these subjects. One of his great joys was spending time with his Maw Maw and helping her with any tasks she might need help with. And no matter what in life brought him down, he would always fight to rise again and better himself.
David will be lovingly remembered for his ability to light up a room, his kind heart, and for being a fiercely loyal friend and family member. Heaven has gained one more angel.
David is survived by his parents, Scott and Cindy Rollins of Matthews NC; his siblings, Nathaniel & Tobi Rollins of Matthews NC; and his nephew, Alexander Felts of Monroe NC.
David was preceded in death by his grandmother, Judy Renfro of Matthews, NC; his grandfathers', Monroe Rollins and William Renfro of Matthews NC; and his great-grandmother, Dorothy Manley of Greenfield, TN.
Visitation will be held at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227, on September 21, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location on September 21, 2026, at 12:00 pm.
A Committal Service will take place at Forest Lawn East Cemetery, 3700 Forest Lawn Dr, Matthews, NC 28104, on September 21, 2026.
