Diane Maddox-Jenkins

Margaret Diane Maddox Jenkins of Charlotte, North Carolina passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025 at Novant Hospital at the age of 81. Diane was born on February 7, 1944 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Margaret and James Maddox. Diane grew up Hatboro, Pennsylvania with her older sister Jeannie and younger brother Jimmy.

Diane studied human relations and organizational behavior at the University of San Francisco. She studied at the University of Notre Dame de Namurs with a focus on counseling psychology. She studied at West Chester University with a focus on counseling psychology.

Diane moved to Palo Alto, California and she was a Senior Staff Representative in Human Resources for United Airlines. She became a corporate director of human resources at ABM Industries. She was a former therapist at life counseling services. She was also a private counselor.

Her faith meant so much to Diane and it was through her church that Diane met her husband Jerry Jenkins in California. They were married on November 6, 1998, They lived in California, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Charlotte, North Carolina. Her grandfather Reverend Carroll Maddox was a Methodist Minister in Baltimore, MD.

Diane is survived by her husband, Jerry Jenkins, her daughter in law Amy, a son in law Jerry Jr.r and three grandchildren; CJ, Jack and Jenna. Diane is also survived by her three nephews Jamie Burris, Michael Burris, James Maddox III and a niece Jody Maddox.

The visitation will be held at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel. located at 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227 on December 12, 2025 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.. Following the visitation, a Celebration of Life will begin at 11 a.m. at the same location.
