Dolores was born March 23, 1936 in Detroit, Michigan. Dolores grew up in Garden City, MI. She moved to Charlotte, NC in 1972 as a single mom of two daughters to continue to work for Eaton-Yale as a Benefits Administrator. She continued her education and received her Bachelors in Business Administration from Wingate University. Dolores later went to work for Royal Insurance as an Executive Secretary until she retired.
Dolores has always been a lifelong learner and enjoyed volunteering and giving of her time. Dolores was a member and volunteered at a number of organization over many years. Including Symphony Guild of Charlotte, Charlotte Symphony, Hospice Mecklenburg, Historical Association, Charlotte Museum of History, International Perfume Bottle Association, Garden City, MI Historical Museum, Olde Mecklenburg Genealogical Society, Lupus Foundation of America, The Shepard Center of Charlotte, and Senior Scholars at Queens University. Dolores’s second passion was in traveling and exploring her heritage. In her many travels abroad, she visited places such as England, Scotland, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Hungary.
Dolores was preceded in death by her father, John Paul Rozsnyai, mother, Lucille Banas Rozsnyai, her brothers, John “Sonny” Rozsnyai and Dennis P Rozsnyai.
She has lovingly left behind her daughter, Lisa Watson and son in law, Dean Watson. Grandchildren; Jesse Watson (Mandy), Drew Watson (Eden) and Christina Hall (Josh). Great Grandchildren; Payton Watson, Easton Watson, Sadie Hall and Camdyn Hall. Her daughter, Kim Hartington, Grandchildren; Matthew Carl, Kalene Swanson, Kyle Swanson (Anna) and Great Grandchildren; Zander Scharf and Roper-Joe Scarborough.
Dolores passed away surrounded by family at the Levine and Dickson Hospice House in Huntersville, NC. We wanted to thank the amazing staff at the Hospice House for the compassion and kindness shown to our mother and grandmother.
A memorial service will be held at a later date with family at Mt. Charleston, NV.
