Born on October 27, 1940, Dorothy was formerly of Lumberton, NC and attended Fair Grove High School in Fairmont, NC. She later made her home in Mint Hill, North Carolina.
Dorothy was a faithful member of Reedy Branch Baptist Church, where her steady presence reflected a life grounded in devotion and community. She will be remembered for her lively spirit and for the determination that carried her through life—an ability to meet what was before her with resolve and to accomplish what she set her mind to.
In her personal time, Dorothy found genuine enjoyment in attending and watching NASCAR races, embracing the excitement of the sport and the moments of connection it brought.
Dorothy is survived by her son, Dale Flowe, and her loving grandchildren, Megan and Jacob Flowe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Flowe.
Visitation will be held at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227, on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, from 11:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by a Funeral Service in the chapel at 12:30 pm.
Dorothy will be laid to rest at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
