Born May 30, 1943 in Onslow County, NC, Mrs. Francis was a daughter of the late Frank C. and Sallie L. Wiggins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death in 1995 by her husband, Jerry Franklin Francis. She was a loving mother, sister and grandmother.
Surviving are her four children, Corey Todd Francis, David Lind Francis, Jill Francis Tomberlin and husband, Bruce, and Amy Francis Keeter; her sister, Marie Brooke of Atlanta, TX; her sister-in-law, Frances Wiggins of Wilmington, NC; and her seven grandchildren, Brittney and Brandon Francis, Caitlyn, Garrett and Logan Tomberlin, and Sally and Kylie Keeter.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 17, at Sharon Memorial Park, with Chaplain Larry Watts officiating.
