Erma L. Smith

Erma was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William L. Smith and 6 brothers.

She was a mother to 6 children: Elizabeth Simpson (Steve), Michael Smith (Mary Jean), Robert Smith (Pamela), Karen Lanham, Timothy Smith and Kimberly Smith. Erma leaves behind 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

Her greatest joys outside of being wife, mother and grandmother include quilting, crocheting, gardening and canning. She held various positions in the church she attended; her favorite was working in the nursery with children of all ages. She was actively involved in the Order of the Eastern Star of Mint Hill, NC.

Visitation will be held Friday, April 1, 2016 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227. Funeral Service will be held at Eastern Hills Baptist Church, 4855 Albemarle Road Charlotte, NC 28205 on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 1:00pm.

Interment to follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
