

She was born in Brooklyn, New York on November 4, 1946. Florence graduated from Freehold Southern High School. She married Edward Steven LaHaye on May 6, 1967. Florence grew up in Howell and Freehold, New Jersey and spent a majority of her adult life in Freehold, New Jersey where her and Edward made their home and raised their family.
Florence spent her career as a homemaker raising three wonderful children. Her family meant everything to her. She was predeceased by father, Rudolph Pressburger and mothers, Florence and Millie Pressburger.
Florence was survived by husband, Edward; daughter, Michele Dobbin, son-in-law Joe, and granddaughters, Ireland, Mikayla, Delaney, Morgan and Emery of New Jersey; daughter, Jeannette Alberts and grandsons, Christopher, Patrick and Charlie of Florida; and son, Edward and daughter-in-law, Catherine of North Carolina.
Florence was nicknamed by her father as “Bubbles”. This name continued as “Bubbie” by husband, Edward and family. Bubbles/Bubbie was passionate about many things including animals, gardening, crafts and the preservation of family memories and keepsakes. They will be treasured by her family always.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Thursday, April 28, 2016, in the sanctuary at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 16 McLean Street, Freehold, New Jersey 07728. Immediately following, all are invited to greet the family during a reception at The Cabin on Route 33, 984 NJ-33, Freehold Township, New Jersey 07728.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Cancer Society as Florence lost a dear friend (Lucy) to breast cancer and/or to the ASPCA for her love of animals.
