Gayle Crumpler McEntire

She was born in Charlotte on April 16, 1955, to the late Buck H. and Margie C. Crumpler. Gayle was a graduate of West Mecklenburg High School, class of 1973. She married her high school sweetheart, Randy C. McEntire, on December 15, 1973. Gayle’s main profession was that of a homemaker. She was an active and dedicated member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church where she enjoyed the Jubilee Sunday School Class as well as the Esther’s Court Bible Study. Her passions included, cooking (especially chicken pot pies and pound cakes), children, family gatherings, beach trips, and shopping.

Gayle leaves behind a devoted husband, Randy; three children, (Bart & wife Emily of Kannapolis, NC, Kelly & husband, Matt of Mount Pleasant, NC, and Curt & wife, Erin, also of Mount Pleasant); seven grandchildren (Madeline, Jackson, Andrew, Cole, Elijah, Ella, and Samantha); and sister, Betsy of Mint Hill, NC.

A visitation for Gayle will be held Monday, October 18, 2021 from 10:00 am until 11:30 am at Hickory Grove Baptist Church Harris Campus Worship Center, 7200 E. WT Harris Boulevard, Charlotte, NC 28215, followed by a funeral service at 11:30 am. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
