Geraldine Harper Morris Knotts

Geraldine Harper Morris Knotts, age 86, of Mint Hill died Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Brookdale of Monroe Square. Born November 19, 1928 in Albemarle, she was a daughter of the late Roy Oscar Harper and Dessie Mae Solomon Harper. Mrs. Knotts retired from Champe Advertising Company. She was a member of Hickory Grove United Methodist Church where she was active in the Widows Club for many years. She loved cooking, gardening, growing flowers and watching hummingbirds.

Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, November 5th at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel with Hospice Chaplain, Dewey Smith, officiating. Graveside service will follow at 12:30 PM in Charlotte Memorial Gardens. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include three children, Larry Morris and wife, Mary, of Fort Mill, Donna Sellers and husband, Gene, of Rock Hill and Renee’ Brown and husband, John, of Charlotte; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and two siblings, Melvin Harper and wife, Hallie Mae, of Norwood and Louvine Tucker of Charlotte. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Knotts was preceded in death by her first husband, Ernest Roy Morris; second husband, Archie Knotts; son, Billy Joe Morris; and a brother, Bobby Gene Harper.
