Born January 10, 1949 in Bennettsville, SC, Gloria was a daughter of the late Philip Thomas Herndon and Virginia Lee Rich Herndon. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Phyllis Furr and Kay Gunter.
Gloria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Charles R. Ramsey; two sons, Chuck Ramsey, and Lee Ramsey and his wife, Angie; granddaughters, Trysten, Madeline and Gracie; and her sister, Betsy Collins.
Her family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road in Mint Hill, with her funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. The Rev. Dr. Buddy Pigg will officiate. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
