Helen O. Corriher

Helen was born on April 23, 1919, in Gaston County, NC, to the late John Wiley Outen and Virgie (Bass) Outen.

She married John H. Corriher, Jr. on Jan. 25, 1948, in Charlotte.

Mrs. Corriher was a coordinator for Candy Stripers and the Gift Shop at Presbyterian Hospital-Main for many years. She worked and volunteered at CMS and was employed by the Carolina Motor Club and the U.S. Postal Service.

She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-four years.

Survivors include her children, Sandra Corriher, Greensboro, NC; Susan Corriher, Oak Island, NC; Vicky Corriher, Wilmington, NC; and Steve (Becky) Corriher, Charlotte; her grandchildren, Christy (Brandon) King; Kathryn Privette; Stephanie Corriher; John Corriher; and her great grandchildren, Joshua and Amanda King.

A private graveside service will be held at Sunset Memory Gardens. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm on Monday, April 11, at the McEwen-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Rd., Mint Hill, NC, followed by a gathering at the funeral home for family and friends. The Reverend Arnold Corriher will officiate.
