Born on January 21, 1968, in Chicago, Illinois, Irene graduated from Good Counsel High School in 1986.
She will be remembered for her radiant smile, exuberant spirit, independence, and unwavering devotion to her family—especially her children and two beloved grandchildren.
Irene’s passions included cheering for her favorite football team, the Chicago Bears, traveling, enjoying time with family on a patio with good food and drinks, and reading.
Irene is survived by her children, Amanda Blackmon (John) and Ryan O’Sullivan; grandchildren, Henry “Hank” and Evan Blackmon; mother, Carmel McCrudden; brothers, Brendan (Tracy) McCrudden and Kenneth McCrudden; nieces, Rose McCrudden Welch, Grace and Erin and Kelly McCrudden; and nephews, Conor and Frank McCrudden.
She was preceded in death by her father, Frank McCrudden.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (PanCAN) in Irene’s honor.
