Jack Mason Braswell

He honorably served 9 years in the US Air Force, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Jack was predeceased by his wife, Bessie Braswell of 51 years, his parents, Lee and Lela Braswell, sons, Ricky Braswell and Terry Blitchington, and his brother, Henry Braswell and his sister Evelyn Brooks.

He is survived by his 4 children; Theresa Coker, Robin Sullivan (James Sullivan), Maggie Freeman (Rickey Freeman), Tim Braswell (Barbara Braswell), along with 14 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, his brother, Elgie Braswell, and sister, Louise Grindstaff (Joe Grindstaff).

A special thanks to Union County Hospice and a special thanks to a caregiver, Kaye Lowery and all the others who helped care for Jack.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 22, 2022, from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Charlotte, NC 28227. Funeral services will begin at 11:30 AM. Jack will then be laid to rest next to his wife at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Mint Hill, NC 28227.
