Rest in peace Jack. I never met Jack, but I live in his last place of residence, and I just briefly crossed paths with his mother and father who are in the process of closing out his apartment. About a month ago, I had heard that someone passed in our building and I wanted to pray for his soul and for his family, but didn’t have any information. Now I do and now I will. Although it was a very brief encounter, his parents seemed like lovely people. I can’t imagine how hard it must be going through this process, and we should all pray for them. One love and many prayers. 🙏🏼

Jack is always playful and very enthusiastic to work with, i have known him over past year, he is very understanding and has been wonderful to work with.

I met Jack through Deloitte. We all started in Tax back in June of last year. The whole Life Of The Party (LIFO) gang. He was always so kind. Anytime I see him he always speaks and always ask me for a charger at work lol.

His sense of humor was out of this world. Always a good time with Jack. I will surely miss Jack. He was such a light to be around. Sending love to the family!!! He will be missed here at Deloitte.

To the Romer family -

I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. Your family, friends, and all your loved ones in between are all in my thoughts and I send my deepest condolences. 

I worked with Jack at Deloitte and he was such a positive soul. We geeked out and bonded over our love of data wrangling tools and technology. When he first started and we had some down time, he would occasionally sit at my desk with me while I worked on creating data wrangling workflows and he would pick my brain on my process and was so excited and content to just sit there and learn. 

When I was working on a partnership client for the first time five years into my career, Jack took the time to send me all of his notes from his past training and even pulled together a short PowerPoint for me to grasp the basics of the partnership tax world (wittily titled: More (Partnership) Tiers less Tears). 

I will cherish these memories of Jack forever. We all saw how caring, thoughtful, bright, and intelligent he was. He will be missed dearly.

What beautiful words I just read.  I hope Jack is doing all of the things he loved up in Heaven.  I pray for all of his family and loved ones, and hope they're able to find some semblance of peace during this time.  

I bought Jack a burger and fry plate at the office one day and I don't know that I've ever in my life seen someone more appreciative.  It was the nicest meal I had since joining Deloitte because I shared it with such an impressive young man.
