Jack David Williams, 85, of Mint Hill, passed away at home on Saturday, March 16, 2013. Jack was truly a friend to all; he never met a stranger and was there if you ever needed him. He was a baseball coach for his sons and grandsons and he volunteered with the Boy Scouts. Jack loved to fish and you could always find him in his workshop fixing something. He served in the US Navy during WWII and retired from Barnhardt Manufacturing in Charlotte. He was a member of Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
Family and friends were the most important things in Jack’s life. He leaves behind his loving daughter, Barbara Lowe, who lived with him and cared for him. He is also survived by his sons, Jack Williams, Jr. and Jimmy Williams; as well as, eight grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, brother, Paul Williams, three loving sisters in law, many loving nieces and nephews and wonderful caring neighbors.
Jack was married to Mary Frances Williams who predeceased him in October of 2012. She was the love of his life and he never got over losing her. They were known to everyone as Maw Maw and Paw Paw and both will be deeply missed.
