

Jim's life centered around his family and church. He was an amazing husband, father, and dependable friend. His life started first with Barbara and they made an excellent team raising a wonderful family. He was active in the various churches he attended and was a Deacon, leader, and reliable resource to everyone he came in contact with at those churches.
Jim is predeceased by his parents; his brothers, Joe Adcock and Charles Adcock; and his son-in-law, Fred Fine.
Jim is survived by his wife of 66 years, Barbara Adcock; his children, Cindy Fine, Donna Horning (Mike), and Scotty Adcock (Teresa); his grandchildren, Zack Horning (Hailey), Mallory Griffin (James), Andrew Adcock (Haley), Nick Adcock, Alexis Doby (Trevor); great-grandchildren, Jaxon Griffin, Jordan Griffin, Diem Horning, Olli Horning, Elin Horning, Scotlynn Griffin, and Lily Grace Adcock; his brother, Don Adcock (Sandra); and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation for James will be held Friday, April 8, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Charlotte, NC 28227. A funeral service will occur Friday, April 8, 2022 at 2:00 PM, 7428 Matthews-Mint Hill Road, Charlotte, NC 28227. A graveside service will occur Friday, April 8, 2022 at 3:00 PM at Sunset Memory Gardens, 8901 Lawyers Road, Charlotte, NC 28227.
