“It was an honor to meet a traveling soul as yourself, restless as hell, never one commonplace thing to say. You inspired me to finish my travels as even Jack Kerouac describes in his novel, ‘On the Road.’”
A post on Jason Freeman’s Facebook page following his untimely death, says much about this young man, who was loved by so many.
Jason had a gift of genius. He was a people person, he made you laugh, he brought joy and love to those around him.
Memories of Jason’s life poured forth following his death… “You taught me how to drive in that old Maverick. You could always make me laugh,” “You could make someone's bad day better,” “It didn’t matter if it was a trip to the gas station or just a night at home watching TV, you made sure everyone was laughing (or at least looking at you like you were the craziest person they’d ever met). Love or hate you, I don’t think anyone that has ever met you, could deny that they shared at least one amazing experience with you they would ever forget,” ”I will never forget you singing every damn 80’s TV theme song at the top of your lungs while getting ready for work,” “I'll never see that beautiful smile again, and those dimples, or see those blue eyes again,” ”Bus rides with you were the best part of junior high.”
Jason once wrote, “Between the lovers and the dreamers, the gypsies and the pirates, I'm not entirely sure where I belong these days.”
On a beautiful fall afternoon surrounded by his mother, family and friends, Jason lost his battle with heroin addiction.
