Jean was born February 25, 1930 in Wilkes County, NC. Jean was born to Bertha Annie Wingler Wyatt and David Conley Wyatt. Jean was the oldest of 3 children, preceded in death by Bronce Wyatt and Dean Wyatt.
When Jean moved to Charlotte in the 1940's, she began to work at Lance Crackers. She quickly began to meet new friends, one in particular Paul Norman. They began dating and married on April 15, 1950. They had a loving marriage for 69 years until Paul passed January 30, 2020. She continued to work at the factory until the mid 1950's. Then, on October 18, 1957, the couple welcomed a baby girl, Susan Lynn Norman.
Jean then went on to become a housewife taking care of the daily household and motherly duties. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, baking, sewing, making flower arrangements, and active in church community. She made a mean coconut cake and had a green thumb, making any ole shrub into a beautiful blooming beauty in no time. Jean was also an active member of the Cornerstone Baptist Church, loving to go to Sunday school classes often.

The family will be receiving friends on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 11:00 - 12:00pm at McEwen Funeral Service - Mint Hill Chapel 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd. Mint Hill, NC 28227. Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon in the chapel. Interment will follow at Sharon Memorial Park.
