John Keith Helms

A native of Charlotte, he was the son of Jorene Helms Lehr (Chuck). He was a graduate of Independence High School and co-owner of CTS Construction in Indian Trail, NC.

Keith touched a lot of people’s lives in all walks of life and never met a stranger. He worked hard and played harder, whether it was hunting, grilling, or riding his Harley. He will be greatly missed by his family, who will always love him unconditionally and will never forget his laughter and sense of humor.

He is survived by his wife, Tammy Tanner Helms; son, Justin Michael Helms; brother, Eddie (Sissy); sister, Lynn Runnion (Steven); nieces, Shaye, Jessica, and Jordan and his half-sister, Beth Helms Frasolak (John).

Keith was preceded in death by his father Joe Edwin Helms.

A visitation with the family will be held from 6:00pm until 9:00pm, Monday, September 5, 2016 at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel, 7428 Matthews Mint Hill Rd, Mint Hill, NC 28227.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am, Tuesday September 6, 2016 also at McEwen Funeral Service-Mint Hill Chapel.
